For the past few weeks we have been making our own Poetry. We have a variety of poems we have to complete. We have already worked on Cinquan's, Diamante's and Colour Poems. Here are my finished products.

Acrostic Poem T2 W2

This week I have been learning how to write an exciting and detailed poem. An Acrostic poem is a poem where you find a word and put the word down the side and write things about about your word or something that describes your word and that's how you do an Acrostic poem.   

T3 Reflection literacy 2017

For Literacy we had to do an Anticipation Guide we had to Write agree or disagree here's mine.

This is my other task about whitebait all we had to do is pick three topics and write about them but i put a fun fact.

This week for literacy we have done our word work activity but this week we had to do silly sentences which was fun.

• Machinery

Meaning- The parts of a machine, collectively

Sentences- I used a bulldozer to pick up the green apple  

Origin- First recorded in 1680-90

• Deceitful

Meaning- given to deceiving

Sentences- The girl felt deceitful asking Mrs Prendergast about for information about a purple and orange giraffe.

Origin- Late Middle English  

• Disappearance

Meaning- the act or an instance of disappearing; a ceasing to be seen or to exist.

Sentences-The disappearance of the tiny flying elephant was very disappointing

Origin- First recorded in 1705-15

• Luxury

Meaning-  Something very posh!

Sentences- The dog was driving a luxury limo with frog passengers

Origin- Middle English, Latin

 Ceremony

Meaning- The formal activities conducted on some important state occasion

Sentences- I went to the wedding ceremony where a cat and a mouse got married

Origin- Middle

Signalled- Meaning- anything agreed upon or understood as the occasion for concerted action Sentences- Origin- Middle English Medieval latin

Length- Meaning-the longest extent of anything as measured from end to end: Sentences- Origin- Middle English old English Sentence- the length of a giraffe's neck is very long  

Benefit- Meaning-something that is advantageous or good; an advantage: Origin- late Middle English

We had to do a diamante poem about Anzac it was quite hard because you couldn't use the same words.
