End of the term

This term has been a pretty full on term but so far I have enjoyed it we have done some really cool stuff seen some really cool sites and learnt lots of new things. a couple of my Favourite thing this term is  gardening we have been growing lettuce planting flowers and cleaning out the class house. I also really enjoyed the Brunner mine trip. its been good getting to know everyone. also making pumpkin soup and Anzac biscuits was a fun task. I've also enjoyed our art. My favourite was the Anzac poppy art. i'm looking forwards to term 2.  

                                                 

                                                 

West coast description

For topic these past weeks we have been working on our place (west coast) description it has been really interesting finding out things that I dint know before. it was bit hard because for some of the questions we really had to look for the answer.

Financial Literary

These past week in Term 1 we have started a new project called financial Literacy. Its about money we did it for 4 days which was 4 weeks on the sheet we first had to make a future card. it had what cars we wanted pets kids and what relationship we were in like if we were married single or just in a relationship  . After the we had to get a card and see how much money we got every week we also got a card with groceries and a fortune one. The bad thing was we had to pay for mortgages and tax. This has taught me that you only have to buy the things you need not what you won't. 

Garden

Our class have been spending a lot of time in the garden. we have been fixing up the garden as well as planting.  we have planted some really bright and beautiful flowers for Jordan's memorial wishing well we also planted some lettuce . Me and a small group have been cleaning out the glass houses. which we have planted our lettuce in. I like gardening because its relaxing and  for me its a good hobbies.

Growing lettuce

This term Me and Rylan have been growing lettuce but in a different type of way we haven't just bought the seeds.we got them out of a some sort of flower which we found in the garden. so far we Have planted them in the glass house but before that we did some other things. So we first got the seeds out of the flower then dried them out for about 2 days. we had to get a something to put soil in so we found a wooden tray thing but it had holes in it. so we put stones on the holes after that we filled it up with soil and planted the seeds. We had to water them everyday which we would some times forget. Here ares some photos of our lettuce. hope you enjoy :)

Pumpkin soup

We Have been spending a lot of time in the garden and we are starting to make pumpkin soup. we split up in groups of 4. so everyone in the class got to join in. WE first had to clean the pumpkin then put it in the microwave so we could cut it. then once it was cut in half we scooped the middle bit up then put a bit of butter and garlic. we also put salt and pepper then tin foil on over top of it and then cooked.
