Literacy Reflection Week 5 Term 1 2017

This week for writing and reading we had to choose a topic which we were going to research. We had to find a book about the topic and find 2 online websites about the topic. We wrote some notes about the topic. We also did a coggle on our topic which was really fun. I did mine on pandas because pandas are on of my favorite animals.

Pandas

  • Giant pandas live in only six small areas in mountain ranges scattered through south central china.
  • The biggest threat to pandas is the loss or their habitat as bamboo forests continue to be cut down to make way for farmland.
  • Pandas can sometimes get caught in traps set to catch other animals such as a mask deer
  • In the wild pandas usually live alone avoiding other animals.
  • Giant pandas don't hibernate in winter like other bears instead they usually move down the mountain from the cold climate to warmer areas.
  • There are now nearly 60 pandas reserve dedicate to their care and protection.
  • The Chinese consider pandas to be precious.
  • Giant pandas have five fingers and five toes in addition they also have a panda thumb
